Two Australian virtuoso guitarists have teamed up to record an Instrument called ‘When Two Become One’.
Sydney based Khan Manuel, was working on his album and approached Los Angeles based Jazz fusionist Frank Gambale about the possibility of him play on the track. Canberra-born Gambale, who picked up the guitar at 7 and moved to America where he joined the band of his idol Chick Corea agreed to play with Manuel. But due to time commitments, Manuel will record his parts in Sydney, and send it to Gambale in LA to put down his sweep picking style.’Recording with Frank is a dream come true for me’ reveals Manuel.In 2008 Manuel released his solo album ‘The Knight’ merging his styles of modern Rock, Jazz, and classical techniques. Last year he became the only instrumental guitarist in Australia to receive an endorsement from global guitar maker Ibanez.
